Character Embodiment Through Movement

Mask theatre workshops

Physical expression and non verbal communication play an important role in our day to day lives, and have the power to transform your performances into living, breathing personifications that will leave your audience wanting more.

Do you wish you could go beyond the playwright's lines and really connect with your character?

Are you ready to fully embody your characters and bring your performances to life?

this is for you if you are ready to...

Hi, I'm Nena and I want to help you create memorable characters that make a big impact!

Always know what to do with your hands once you put your script down

Use your mind-body connection to memorize your lines sooner, have more energy, and feel more invested in your character choices

Elevate your performances and create memorable, embodied characters that stay with your audience long after they leave the theatre.

Have unshakeable confidence in performing, devising, and living.

"Through Nena's creation of a safe and encouraging space, every participant was able to explore new means of expression and to play with drama, comedy, movement, and connection. It was a joy to watch the children come alive in their masks."

Technique and emotion are brought together as participants devise scenes individually and in small groups. We then explore how these skills can enhance characterization in all styles of theatre.

Fully Embodied Character Development

Participants are led through exercises designed to bring the masks to life through full physical investment. Individual exploration of mind-body connection helps create organic physicality that reflects our intentions.

Emotional Depth of Mask Performance

Games, exercises, and shared exploration allows participants to gain a greater sense of physical awareness, and increased clarity in expression and articulation to create authentic, relatable characters.
